The release will also feature two new versions of the original by the Glasgow producer.
DJ Sotofett has remixed Auntie Flo's 2015 track "For Mihaly" for a new EP on Highlife.
The original was the final cut on Glasgow artist Brian d'Souza's most recent album, Theory Of Flo, which was recorded between Havana, Glasgow and London. DJ Sotofett's "Midtempo Matrix Mix" is the first of three tracks on the new release, alongside a "Live Version" (featuring drummer Laurie Pitt) and a "Reprise," both by d'Souza. The For Mihaly EP will hit the shelves on June 23rd.
Highlife, the label run by d'Souza and Huntleys + Palmers, also has another release in the works. Scottish producer Duncan Grant, AKA CAIN, will put out Sirin, a three-track EP that'll be Grant's fourth for the outlet. Listen to clips.
If you're out and about in Glasgow on Saturday, The Art School is hosting a party with d'Souza and Highlife co-founder Andrew Thomson celebrating the label's seventh anniversary. Tickets are available here on RA.
