- The collection of experimental club tracks will land on PTP in October.
Celestial Trax, AKA Joni Judén, will release his debut album via PTP in the fall.
It represents a departure not only from the sound but the method that he established across previous EPs for Rinse Recordings and PTP.
"In beginning Nothing Is Real," the label writes, "Judén had reached the point of creative purge, deleting almost all samples, sample packs and software synths. Fueled by ideas of rebirth and true self-projection, he amassed a library of field recordings from New York City, plus samples from his own cassettes, vinyl and YouTube search history—utilizing every sound source he could come across in his studio whilst trying to spend as little time as possible on the computer screen."
The resulting album, which comes out on New York label PTP, is more abstract and cinematic than the dance floor-friendly style he's known for.
