  • Egyptian producer Zuli will release his debut album via Lee Gamble's label, UIQ, in just over a month. Terminal, which blends abstract club and ambient tracks, follows two EPs for UIQ in 2016 and 2017. The prominent Egyptian rapper Abyusif features on the album alongside a few other vocalists: MSYLMA, Mado $am, Abanob and R-Rhyme. "Drawing from an abstract narrative of increasingly frequent cycles of ego-death and rebirth," the label writes, it's inspired by Zuli's experiences in the city of Cairo where he lives. Angus Finlayson interviewed Zuli for an RA article about VENT, the Cairo club he co-founded in 2013. Read that here. Listen to "Kollu I-Joloud," featuring MYSLMA.
