fabric breaks silence after blackout to reveal 20th anniversary celebrations, fabric XX

- New residents, a revamped mix series and, yes, 20 parties to honour 20 years are coming in 2019.
- fabric isn't closing again, despite what the club may have wanted you to think. After wiping their online presence and boarding up their Charterhouse Street entrance in a confusing stunt, the Farringdon venue has come clean. As suspected, fabric is going big for its 20th birthday, with 20 parties, dubbed fabric XX, planned across the year. First up is Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream party on January 27th, followed by Bonobo on February 24th and Tale Of Us, who will play all night long, on March 24th. In April, East London party Fuse will host a 12-hour takeover on the 7th, before John Digweed goes all night on the 18th and The Martinez Brothers go all day on the 28th. The 14 other XX parties will be announced throughout the year. The club's annual birthday celebration, which usually takes place across the third weekend in October, will this year stretch across four weekends. fabric will also take the show on the road, partnering with club favourite Ricardo Villalobos for a party as part of Off Week in Barcelona in July. In addition, the club is starting this "new chapter" by welcoming new residents into the mix. Joining Craig Richards and Terry Francis will be Anna Wall and Bobby. fabric's throwing a free party for them tonight, and more new residents will be revealed later in the year. Also new in 2019, fabric is changing how it handles its beloved CD mixes. After calling time on the fabric and Fabriclive series, a new quarterly edition, titled "fabric presents," will launch with Bonobo, though details, including whether the mixes will be given a physical release, are still TBA. To close off today's announcement, fabric shares a message to its fans: "We want to say thank you to everyone that's been part of this journey over the past two decades...
