- The label's first release, which features music from Daze, Point Guard and Reptant, is due out in April.
Sydney's Andy Garvey will start a new record label, Pure Space Records, in April.
The project stems from the DJ and radio host's Pure Space show on local broadcaster FBi Radio, which has been exploring darker shades of electro, techno and breakbeat styles since 2016. The label, which Garvey says "will focus on Australian music both for home listening and that's made for the club," begins with a four-track EP with contributions from domestic talent Daze, Reptant, E Davd and Point Guard.
The Pure Space release will closely coincide with Garvey's debut artist EP, Eternal Recurrence, which drops on Lobster Theremin on March 22nd. The four-tracker spans breaks, acid, electro and "scuffed modern deep house," according to the label.
