The Jazz Cafe launches new East London festival, Maiden Voyage

- A new festival called Maiden Voyage, from the team behind The Jazz Cafe, will take place in East London on August 25th. Maiden Voyage will run throughout the day at Three Mills Island, focused on "jazz, hip-hop, Afrobeat and funk," according to the press release. There will be just one stage, "with no frills, all condensed into one small, easy-to-navigate space," the text adds. Among the artists booked for the debut Maiden Voyage are Bradley Zero, Gilles Peterson, Charlotte Dos Santos, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Nabihah Iqbal, Roy Ayers and Madlib.
