The annual Queens summer party return for nine Saturdays starting in July.
MoMA PS1's open-air Warm Up has revealed the lineups for Saturdays this summer.
The 22nd season kicks off on July 6th and runs through August 31st at the Queens' museum's courtyard. Across the nine parties, there will be a mix of DJ sets and live performances from the likes of Eris Drew, Floorplan, Ron Trent, Mall Grab, DJ SeinfeldMark Ernestus, Palms Trax, Bad Gyal, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, Michael Brun, Chaos In The CBD, Kelly Lee Owens, Nabihah Iqbal, Khotin and Club Chai cofounders FOOZOOL and 8ULENTINA, among others—plus a back-to-back from DJ Python and Anthony Naples. Nigerian artist Santi will play in the US for the first time, and BBC's Annie Mac will also make a rare stateside appearance.
Curators for this season's lineup are MoMA PS1's Taja Cheek, Eliza Ryan, Naomi Zeichner, True Panther Sounds's Dean Bein, Remezcla's Isabelia Herrera, Jonas Leon and Rvng Intl.'s Matt Werth. As for the Young Architects Program-selected courtyard installation, this year's piece Hórama Rama is by Mexico City-based architects Pedro and Juana. It's a 40-foot-high "cyclorama featuring jungle imagery," according to the press release, aiming to "provid[e] a refuge amid the changing Long Island City skyline."
