- The British-Ugandan group will put out the LP on June 12th.
Crammed Discs has detailed Nihiloxica's debut LP, Kaloli.
The album is named after the Luganda word for the Marabou stork, a carrion bird which is a common sight in Kampala. Eight of the 11 tracks were written in five days in September 2019, drawing from traditional rhythms native to Uganda.
The Nyege Nyege affiliates—composed of two UK musicians and a Kampala-based percussion troupe—already have two EPs, Nihiloxica and Biiri, under their belt. Their forthcoming record lands on June 12th.
