- The Londoner has joined forces with LA art collective Brain Dead to raise money for the mental health fund.
Actress has teamed up with LA art collective Brain Dead to raise funds for Black Minds Matter UK, a mental health fund that provides free therapy sessions.
The London artist designed a limited edition T-shirt range, with art by Antares Embroidery, that went on sale last Friday. Each purchase gives the buyer access to Actress's Unseen_Werk No 1 mixtape, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the UK-based charity.
"I've always been concerned with the development but also the protection of young Black minds," Actress said. "Before releasing records I was mentoring music production classes for disenfranchised South London Kids, and since developing my own platform as an artist, I've been searching for ways to further promote Black creativity."
Unseen_Werk No 1 is Actress's third release of the year following on from his free-to-download 88 album and Karma & Desire (which came out on Ninja Tune).
The T-shirt (and access Unseen_Werk No 1) is available here (for black shirts) and here (for white shirts).
