- Out February 26th, the LP is inspired by friendship and the Norwegian countryside.
Electronic pop duo Smerz are releasing their first album via XL Recordings.
Due out February 26th, Believer is inspired by friendship and the Norwegian countryside. Catharina Stoltenberg and Henriette Motzfeldt began work on the 16-track project three years ago. Four tracks from the LP were released on XL last year.
"I feel like our shoulders relaxed a bit," says Stoltenberg. "The big dream of what the music should be able to do is to give people this feeling of being disconnected to where you are in time and space. And maybe feel something. It won't happen all of the time of course, but maybe someone will experience it."
Last year, the Norwegian duo, who run a monthly show on NTS, performed at Ultima Festival in their native Oslo and scored a contemporary dance performance.
