  • Music tech companies Native Instruments and iZotope are combining forces in a new parent entity called Music Creation Group. Both companies recently received investment from venture capital firm Francisco Partners, which is funding Music Creation Group alongside EMH Partners. While no firm plans for the merger have been announced, the companies intend to share "knowledge and technology" in order to "generate a more cohesive audio ecosystem." Each company will continue to "operate independently" and undergo no "structural changes" in their leadership. iZotope is a fixture in modern digital audio production thanks to their industry standard mastering plug-in suite and RX audio repair tools. Native Instruments, known for an extensive range of music software and hardware products, sold a majority stake to Francisco Partners in January this year. It was Francisco Partners' first acquisition of a music tech company.
