  • Moor Mother's first album for ANTI- arrives on September 17th. Black Encyclopaedia Of The Air touches on topics such as memory, imprinting and the future over 13 new tracks. Recorded at the artist's home last March at the start of the pandemic, the work is a collaboration with soundscape artist and producer Olof Melander. It features guest appearances from Brother May, Lojii, Antonia Gabriela, Pink Siifu and Black Quantum Futurism, among others. A press release describes the LP as "a time-traveler's guide to the modern world." Black Encyclopaedia Of The Air follows BRASS, a collaborative full-length with rapper billy woods from late last year. Read our review of a track from that record here. Listen to “Obsidian," featuring Pink Siifu, off the forthcoming LP. It's a song about "thinking about one's proximity to violence" whether at home or in communities, according to Moor Mother.
