- Knot Of Spirit is out today.
Caterina Barbieri and Lyra Pramuk have collaborated on the first release of Barbieri's new label, light-years.
Out today, "Knot Of Spirit" blends the Italian composer's signature synth sounds with Pramuk's ethereal vocals. The track, which clocks in at over ten-minutes, is said to be a "statement of intent" for the light-years imprint.
"After a period of unprecedented isolation, I am personally really inspired by the idea of exploring a more collaborative and independent format," Barbieri says. "The idea behind this project is to make deep listening effortless and explore the transformative, mind-altering potential of music, as well as its socially empowering effects."
"Knot of Spirit" follows Barbieri's Fantas Variations LP, eight re-interpretations of her 2019 release, "Fantas."
