- The LP arrives next month on the label he runs with Ex-Terrestrial, NAFF.
Montreal-based Priori, real name Francis Latreille, has a new album on the way.
The nine-track LP, Your Own Power, was completed between April and July of 2020, during Montreal's strict. lockdown. This quiet period allowed Latreille to explore new instruments and studio wiring while also encouraging a dive into more introspective genres like shoegaze and ambient. It's out in November on NAFF, the label Latreille runs with ex-terrestrial, who also features on a track on the album.
Your Own Power follows Priori's Little Flower EP from earlier this year. That followed a busy 2020, which saw Latreille release several 12-inches including the SCN EP. Read our review of that record.
Priori is an active collaborator and mixing engineer within the Canadian scene. His collaborative projects include Jump Source, M.S.L., Housemates, New World Science, ANF and more and he's mixed records for the likes of Roza Terenzi, RAMZi and Bambii.
