Shanghai label Eating Music has announced a new instalment of its With Friends compilation series.
Inspired by the idea of "spiritual convergence," Drifting With Friends spans nine tracks of house, ambient and downtempo by a range of contributors based around China, Japan, South Korea and elsewhere. They include SVBKVLT artist Gooooose, Infinite Machine affiliate Laughing Ears, Seoul-based producer Mogwaa, Knopha and Tokyo-based Sauce81. Due March 31st, Drifting With Friends will be released on vinyl as well as digitally.
Eating Music was established in 2018 by curator Cookie Zhang, who also co-runs the Daily Vinyl record store in Shanghai. The label's previous compilations include Living with Friends from 2021 and 2020's Dreaming With Friends.
