- Previously only available on CD, Fruit Of The Room and Greenpeace will hit the shelves via Glossy Mistakes in June.
Two albums by the late Susumu Yokota under his Stevia alias are getting reissued for the first time.
Previously only released on CD, Fruit Of The Room (1997) and Greenpeace (1998) will be available digitally and on vinyl from June 10th via Madrid label Glossy Mistakes. Fruit Of The Room explores Yokota's vision of early Japanese club music, fusing elements of deep house, jungle and dub. Greenpeace touches on breaks, Krautrock and psychedelic downbeat.
Yokota, who died in 2015 aged 54, was a seminal figure in the Japanese underground and beyond. He released over 30 albums between 1993 and 2012, including his critically acclaimed experimental ambient work, Sakura.
Listen to "Maverick" off Fruits Of The Room and "Cherry Girl" off Greenpeace.
