  • London promoter and former club The Cause is taking over a new TBA venue for the next three months. The series, dubbed POSSIBLY MAYBE, will launch this Saturday, July 23rd, and run until at least September 24th. The venue is "a brutalist East London indoor and outdoor industrial site," according to the press release. "While this site has tons of potential, its charm is also its downfall," said Eugene Wild, cofounder and creative director at The Cause. "Just like The Cause, it could be around for six months or a few years. This summer it certainly won't be the full beast as The Cause was when we closed, so for now we're dipping our toes in with a side project to test the site while we work out what it could or could not become, all while keeping our options open on other spaces." The first party is The Cause's fourth birthday this weekend. The lineup will remain unannounced. Other highlights include Riposte on July 31st, Keep Hush on August 13th and Alien Communications x The Cause on September 10th. ADONIS will host three events, including its fifth birthday on September 3rd. More shows are still TBA. Earlier this year, The Cause left its home in Tottenham, North London, after nearly four years. Since then, the team has hosted one-off parties and its first festival, The Cause Seaside Beano. Here's the POSSIBLY MAYBE programme so far.
