- Out in October, the LP is the first release on Steffi and Virginia's Candy Mountain label.
Steffi has dedicated her fourth album to her late mother.
Spanning ten tracks, The Red Hunter covers themes such as family, change and the female spirit. It was partly produced at Candy Mountain, Steffi and Virginia's new studio and creative hub in the Portuguese countryside, and will come out on their new label, also called Candy Mountain.
"I started working on The Red Hunter several years ago," Steffi told Resident Advisor. "Therefore the songs are very personal and emotional for me but at the same time they also stand for something very new. This period reflects transition and change. Candy Mountain was the perfect place for me to finish the album and piece everything together."
Steffi will promote the album with a series of live sets at various venues. More details will be revealed soon. The LP's artwork, which depicts a sculpture by Rein Vollenga, is by Michiel de Vreede.
