  • DJ Q has announced his first album since 2014. Out September 23rd through Local Action, Est. 2003 spans 11 tracks of peak-time UK garage and includes cameos from UK garage legend Todd Edwards, R&B singer Shola Ama and label mainstays Finn and Sharda. DJ Q's last album was Ineffable in 2014. "I remember during lockdown I asked Tom from Local Action what his idea of the definitive DJ song would be," DJ Q told Resident Advisor. "This album is a direct result of that conversation. It's a mixture of the different styles I have grown to love within garage, bass or whatever you want to call it—it's got deep basslines with banging beats, sexy vocals, catchy melodies but nothing too cheesy at the same time." He added: "It's me just having fun creating music at a time where producing was my only focus." Listen to "Sweet Day" featuring Todd Edwards and the album's first single, "Love Me Like", featuring Lily McKenzie and Star.One.
