Rhythm Section International announces mentorship programme with Tash LC, Moxie, Bradley Zero, Jordan Rakei

- Aimed at emerging artists in England, Future Proof includes masterclasses, studio time and a free copy of Ableton 11.
- Rhythm Section International has announced a mentorship programme for six emerging electronic artists from England. Combining a masterclass series, mentoring, studio time and training, Future Proof will include sessions with Moxie, Jordan Rakei, Tash LC and label founder Bradley Zero. The masterclasses will cover radio, music production, defining your identity as a DJ, managing your career and future-facing topics such as environmental impact and diversity. They will be filmed in London in front of a studio audience and livestreamed to those further afield. Successful applicants will also receive a copy of Ableton Live 11, sessions with an Ableton-certified trainer, Audio-Technica headphones, microphones, DJ cartridges, press photos, peer-support sessions and travel expenses. Future Proof is open to anyone in England over the age of 18, with Rhythm Section especially keen to hear from artists who identify as a person of colour, a woman or gender expansive, LGBTQIA+, or from a working-class background. Contestants must also be unsigned and enjoy the sounds that have shaped Rhythm Section, chiefly deep house, house, techno, jazz and soul. The deadline is November 21st. Bradley Zero said Future Proof is "the next step on Rhythm Section's knowledge-sharing journey," insisting that it will "help address the imbalances in the scene, demystify the industry and inspire a new generation to be the game-changers, taste-makers and leaders of the future." The announcement precedes Rhythm Section's 11th birthday party at E1 in London on Saturday, November 12th. Mr Scruff, Carista, Chloé Robinson and Elias Mazian are among the guests.
