  • Oriol Riverola, AKA John Talabot, and Arnau Obiols are releasing a joint album as Mioclono next year. Out February 17th on Riverola's Hivern Discs label, CLUSTER I spans eight tracks written during yearly sessions in Barcelona's Angel Sound Studio. The only previous Mioclono release was a track on VA compilation Fragments in 2020. The project is inspired by epilepsy and myoclonus—conditions experienced by both artists. (The alias derives from the Spanish name for the latter.) Defined as a brief involuntary twitching or jerking of a muscle or group of muscles, myoclonus is a rare condition experienced by only 1 in 26 people with epilepsy. Both Talabot and Obiols experience this phenomenon. Listen to "Pell De Serp" and "Disobedience."
