  • House legend Chez Damier has launched a record label, House of Chez, with a VA EP. Out on January 13th, Identity of our Sound Vol.1 spans four deep house cuts from Irish duo Easy Peelers, El Kazed (AKA Axel Fischer), New York's Mike Berardi and H2H, the collaborative project of Damier and Parisian producer Ben Vedren. House of Chez is Chicago-born Damier's second label after Prescription, which he ran with Ron Trent. More recently, he co-curated Makeup - The Edits, a compilation of forgotten disco and funk gems, and reissued Hip To Be Disillusioned Vol. 1, a classic EP released jointly with Trent. Listen to snippets of Identity of our Sound Vol.1, and revisit Damier's RA podcast from 2012.
