  • AVA London has released the programme for its conference and club night in February. Returning to Printworks on Friday, February 24th, the Belfast festival will curate a day of industry talks, workshops and more followed by a party. The conference will run from 10 AM through 5 PM, before the club night begins at 10 PM. The daytime programme will centre around four themes: "innovation," "diversity," "sustainability" and "the future." Resident Advisor will host a live Exchange with Tony Andrews, the founder of Funktion-One and Turbosound, as well as a live Art of DJing with Courtesy. Other confirmed speakers include Jaguar, Heléna Star, Primary Talent's Hannah Shogbola, manager Lynn Cosgrave and CAA's Maria May. There will be keynote interviews with Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard, plus SHERELLE and NIKS in conversation. British graphic designer David Rudnick will discuss the metaverse and digital art, among other topics and Migrant Footprint⁠—presented by The Right To Dance and War Child⁠⁠—will see GAIKA, Nooriyah and Eastern Margins founder Lumi discussing their unique personal and collective stories. Star, NIKS, Shogbola and Jaguar are the founders of Black Electronic Music Association (BEMA), the UK collective working to highlight the Black roots of electronic music. The club night will feature Sofia Kourtesis, Logic1000, Cici, Swoose, DJ Seinfeld, Surusinghe, Mall Grab, Courtesy and more. Max Cooper will perform live.
