  • Laurent Garnier has cancelled all his upcoming gigs "until the end of summer." In a post on Instagram over the weekend, the French artist cited "health reasons" for the cancellations. "Some things are easier to announce than others," the post read. "Since I don't have much choice, I'd rather just throw it out there without too much fuss." The cancelled dates include festivals such as Sónar in Barcelona, Karrusel in Copenhagen and Nuits Sonores in Lyon. Garnier, who is 57, is also releasing a new album, his first since 2015, on May 25th. "Of course, fate would have it that my album will soon be released at a time when I won't be able to share it with you on the dance floor," the Instagram post continued. "But I can assure you that once this is all over, I'll be back... in force!" Last month, Garnier announced he'll be stepping back from touring at the end of 2024 to avoid becoming "a dusty, old jukebox." Read the announcement in full.
