Peggy Gou has curated a new compilation on her label, Gudu Records.
Out today, May 16th, Gudu & Friends Vol. 1 spans eight tracks from a mix of label mates and newcomers. The likes of DMX Krew, Mogwaa and Dukwa return, while South Korea's Closet Yi, Lady Blacktronika and Salamanda make their debuts. The compilation is the first in a new annual series.
For 2023, the year of the rabbit, the artwork shows animated rabbits dancing in the shape of a moon. The release includes merch with the artwork design and a cassette version of the compilation.
Launched in 2019, Gudu Records has released music by the likes of Gou, Maurice Fulton and Soulwax.
