Loraine James has a new album on the way.
Out on September 22nd through Hyperdub, Gentle Confrontation draws inspiration from the music of the London artist's teenage years, such as math rock and emo electronica. There are cameos from the likes of Marina Herlop, George Riley, keiyaA and Eden Samara.
Gentle Confrontation is James's third album on Hyperdub, following 2021's Reflection and 2019's For You And I. She has also released an album under her Whatever The Weather alias, and paid homage to late US composer Julius Eastman on Building Something Beautiful For Me.
