London label Night Slugs has released a remix VA compilation.
Out yesterday, Wednesday 14th, Night Slugs Classix Remixed features 23 remixes of classic tracks from the label's catalogue. Contributors include Jossy Mitsu, DJ LAG, Hagan, Ikonika, Grandmixxer, Karen Nyame KG and MoMA Ready.
Launched by Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 in 2008, Night Slugs is widely considered to be one of the most influential labels of its era, releasing acclaimed music from the likes of Jam City, Girl Unit and Cooly G. Last month, the label and club night celebrated its 15th birthday with a party at South London's Venue MOT.
