Actress reveals ninth album, LXXXVIII

- Actress has a new album on the way. Part of the inspiration for Darren Cunningham's ninth full-length, LXXXVIII, is game theory, a branch of mathematics typically associated with economics and chess. Indeed chess played a central role in the album's creative and marketing process—Cunningham recently challenged people to a bullet round online, which then led his opponent to a site hosting the trailer for the new LP. Spanning 13 tracks, LXXXVIII will land via Ninja Tune on November 3rd. It follows 2022's Dummy Corporation and 2020's Karma & Desire. Actress will also support James Blake on his upcoming live tour.
