  • Former Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruschini has died. The Blue Aeroplanes, another band Bruschini played in, confirmed the news in a Facebook post yesterday, October 23rd. "We're devastated to announce the passing of our brother Angelo Bruschini," the post read. "Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Rest In Peace Ange." Bruschini joined Massive Attack in the mid-'90s and played on records such as 1998's magnum opus Mezzanine, Heligoland and the 2016 EP Ritual Spirit. In a post shared to X (formerly Twitter) earlier today, the Bristol group described him as a "singularly brilliant & eccentric talent." In addition to Massive Attack, Bruschini was a member of bands such as The Numbers, Rimshots and The Blue Aeroplanes. He also produced UK alternative rock outfit Strangelove's self-titled 1997 album.
