  • A new book is celebrating ten years of Sports Banger. Out on October 28th through Thames & Hudson, Sports Banger: Lifestyles of the Poor, Rich & Famous documents the brand's rise from underground bootlegging operation to internationally renowned label and fashion house. Authored by founder Jonny Banger, it features further essays from Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller, curator Anastasiia Fedorova and fashion writer Nathalie Khan. "This book is a celebration," he told Resident Advisor. "Ten years of Sports Banger. The work has found a home. It's a DIY cookbook that I hope will inspire others to get shit done. It's also rave, resistance and eccentric British iconography. Rave and politics have always been arch nemeses, so I suppose this is what you get when you smash it all together." Jonny Banger is currently touring the book around the UK, with upcoming stops at London's Rough Trade East (October 28th), Birmingham's Artum (November 11th) and Manchester's Bound Art Book Fair (November 25th). See the full list of tour dates below. Founded in 2013, Sports Banger made its name with an array of subversive, pop-culture inspired T-shirts. The label wing has released music from the likes of Neil Landstrumm and Coop.
