Berlin's CTM Festival announces 2024 theme and first acts

- Berlin's CTM Festival has revealed the first round of artists on next year's lineup. Celebrating its 25th anniversary from January 26th through February 4th, CTM will take over various Berlin venues, such as Berghain, RSO.BERLIN, Radialsystem, OXI and Volksbühne. Lineup highlights include Ben Frost, DJ Fuckoff, DJ MELL G & Poly Chain, Kim Ann Foxman, Monolake, Nikki Nair, Aïsha Devi and HiTech. There will also be a focus on Irish artists, with performances from Or:la, Shampain, GASH Collective and more. The theme for CTM Festival's 2024 edition is "sustain," which the organisers say is related to sound. "'Sustain' isn't attached to the desire to shatter, but wants to affirm and nourish," they wrote. "It can also refer to the fears, losses and pains we suffer—we can sense what we're going through." Tied into the theme of sustainability, attendees will be able to visit Oceanic Refractions, an immersive art installation featuring testimonies of Papua New Guinean elders in the wake of global ecocide.
