  • Accra station Oroko Radio has announced more than 80 new residents for 2024. Launching today, January 30th, the new programme is geared towards supporting sustainable creative communities in Africa and beyond. Baronhawk Poitier, Chris Dogzout, Missy DK, King Sleepy and YoungWoman are among the new names. Cofounded by Kikelomo, Nico Adomako, Naëmi Ada and Truseye in 2022, Oroko Radio is a not-for-profit independent online station based in Ghana's capital. Past residents include Karen Nyame KG, Blaq Pages, Menzi and Jaymie Silk. The station also teamed up with Resident Advisor and femme-focussed initiative WATWOMXN to host a one-day event on how to build a DJ career.
