  • Hyperdub has joined forces with UK publishing company Beggars Music, Music Week reports. Beggars Music will partner with Hyperdub Publishing on the administration and licensing of the UK label's existing publishing catalogue, which includes key artists like Burial, Jessy Lanza, Lee Gamble and label founder Kode9. "We're thrilled to be in business with Hyperdub, one of the most iconic and influential electronic music labels of our time," said Beggars Music's head of creative, Molly O'Brien. "We feel a kinship in their approach to nurturing truly unique and groundbreaking talent and feel that the Hyperdub writers will compliment the Beggars Music roster perfectly while occupying a distinct space." Kris Jones of Hyperdub Publishing added: "We're looking forward to pushing our current writers into new spaces and opportunities as well as joining forces with new up and coming creatives to expand the roster." Launched in 2004, Hyperdub celebrates 20 years in 2024. The label's next release—Heavee's new album, Unleash—is out this Friday, March 15th. Also this Friday, Kode9, Jessy Lanza, Leon Vynehall and others will gather at London club fabric for an anniversary party. Correction, March 14th: A previous version of this article failed to make clear that the partnership between Beggars Music and Hyperdub is a publishing-only deal.
