  • London electronic jazz artist Kamaal Williams has been accused of alleged sexual assault by three women. Resident Advisor's exclusive investigation, conducted by Anu Shukla and Annabel Ross, went live today, May 22nd. The three women—whose names have been changed to protect their identities—allege that the incidents took place in 2010, 2021 and as recently as August 2023. They don't know each other but have described similar alleged experiences. A representative for Williams has responded that the "very serious allegations are untrue and emphatically denied by him and that he will be able to demonstrate the same." Born Henry G Williams, the Peckham-born multi-instrumentalist broke through in the mid-'10s as Henry Wu, releasing on labels like MCDE, Rhythm Section and Eglo Records. He has continued to perform globally at events and venues such as CTM Festival, Dour and The Warehouse Project. In October 2023, he released his most recent album, Stings.
