Los Angeles goes underground with the L.A Underground Electronic Music Festival happening downtown this weekend.
The daytime festival is in aide of + Arte – Minas, a Colombian organization formed in 2001 to raise awareness and aid victims of landmines in Colombia.
The downtown L.A. event features a variety of American, South American, Mexican and European artists, including tech house DJ Kenneth Graham, Colombia’s ghettotech-experimental chief Sonico and a live performance by Mexican/American electronic/Latin group Niño Astronauta. Also on the bill is Robin Porter from UK label Immigrant, Matt Xavier from Railyard in New York, and Platzhirsch regular/LA local Jason Emsley among a cast of two dozen.
