ITALY
Dec 31 - Amore 2008 at Fiera Di Roma, Rome
Now in its fourth year, Amore is rapidly becoming the place for the techno massive on NYE. This year Cocoon, Minus and Italian club Goa get a stage each, with tens of thousands expected for the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Jeff Mills, James Holden and Marco Carola. At 40 euro, it’s a bargain, too.

Dec 31 - Secret Sundaze & Bugged Out! present The Final Countdown at Canvas, London
Three London promoters team up for the last ever party at Canvas so you know it's gonna be big. Check the lineup: Carl Craig, Dixon, Smith & Priestley, Andrew Weatherall, Boys Noize and Riton. Nuff said. Go hard or go home.
Dec 31 - Hogmanay at The Old Fruitmarket, Glasgow
'Hogmanay' is Scotch for 'New Years' and the best "hoog min dag" by far this year is Optimo's bash at the Old Fruitmarket with guests Tim Sweeney and Baltimore one-to-watch Dan Deacon. Those who've already managed to bag tickets - sorry loves, it's sold out - also get a free live mix from Twitch & Wilkes.
Jan 1 - The Warehouse Project Closing Party at Picadilly Train Station, Manchester
Manchester's Warehouse Project wraps up season 2007 with a noisy one underneath Picadilly train station. Putting hands on decks will be 2manyDJs, Simian Mobile Disco, Boys Noize and Daft Punk tour jock SebastiAn. And when it's all over, you can just hop on the rail home.
Jan 1 - Circo Loco at The End, London
For diehards only. If you’ve still got dancing legs on the night of January 1st, Circo Loco at The End will finish you off. DJs include Davide Squillance, Daniel Stefanik, a live set from Freak n’ Chic’s Marc Antona plus Vitalik in the AKA.

Dec 31 - Cocoon NYE at Maassilo, Rotterdam
Sven warms up in Frankfurt then hops over to Maassilo to join Loco Dice, Dr. Lektroluv, and RA podcast vets Joris Voorn and Gregor Tresher for four stages of Cocoon bash in Rotterdam. How do you say "gute laune" in Dutch?

Dec 31 - Bpitch Control & Afterhours at Weekend, Berlin
Berlin’s high rise club hosts a Bpitch Control night with Ellen Allien, Sascha Funke and Tobi Neumann on two floors, while Richie Hawtin, Magda and Ricardo Villalobos fly in straight from Amore 2008 in Rome for the afterhours. Expect queues halfway round Alexanderplatz. Open end, as the Germans say.
Dec 31 - Klubnacht Silvester at Berghain/Panoramabar, Berlin
NYE at Berghain this year is a bit of a residents night, but with residents like these you can’t go wrong. The lineup is boys downstairs and girls upstairs, with Klock, Galluzzi and Len Faki in the Berghain, and Cassy, Dinky and Margaret Dygas in the Panoramabar. Also in for the occasion is Detroit househead Aaron Carl.
Dec 31 - I Rave You at Wideroom, Cologne
UK minimal house duo Swayzak head to Cologne for NYE for with local support from Kompakt (The Modernist, Schaeben & Voss) Innervisions (Marcus Worgull) and Treibstoff (Marcel Janovsky.) The two-floor Wideroom club used to be the record storage room at Cologne EMI—couldn’t get more fitting.

Dec 31 - Blood & Thunder II at Galapagos Art Space, New York
Galapagos hosts the most happening underground dance party in New York this New Year's Eve…and well into New Year's Day. The 18-hour party features Lee Curtiss, Bunker residents Derek Plaslaiko and Spinoza, Robot Dennis Rodgers and more. They promise "mayhem," so please prepare accordingly.
Dec 31 - Together As One at Los Angeles Sports Arena, Los Angeles
America’s biggest NYE bash this year features a star double billing of Sasha & Digweed spinning back to back with support from Dutch trancer Ferry Corsten. Big arena, big names, but don’t forget to check out the other stages for Deadmau5 and various drum n bass acts. Early start, late finish.
SPAIN
Jan 1 - Goa at Fabrik, Madrid
Sunday clubbing institution Goa parties from midday to midnight on New Year’s Day, with a more slightly more techno lineup than usual: Deetron, Redshape and DJ Deep are the import headliners while local boys done good Alex Under and Damian Schwartz play live sets. Should be excessive.
Jan 1 - Circo Loco at DC-10, Ibiza
Luciano, Pedro, Rhadoo, Dandy Jack and ten more Circo Loco regulars do the haka on a special New Year’s Day party at DC-10. What kind of people go to Ibiza in the off-season anyway? Circo Loco nutjobs, that’s who.
AUSTRALIA
Jan 1 - Field Day 2008 at The Domain, Sydney
Best of the many Aussie New Year parties sold out three months ago, but if you put on a fake moustache and pretend to be a member of Chromeo, they might let you in. Electro and dance-rock rule the roost with Uffie & Feadz, Midnight Juggernauts, The Go! Team, Felix Da Housecat et al. RA tip: arrive early for John Tejada.
RUSSIA
Jan 1 - Save New Year 2008 at Gazgolder Gallery, Moscow
Nice intimate lineup at the tres hip Gazgolder in Moscow with Losoul from Playhouse, Seth Troxler from Spectral and Ben Parris and Easy Changes from Unfoundsound spinning. Minimal house/techno. Watch out for the face control!
