- The Dutchman is looking for producers to send him material for his new Soundcloud project.
Fancy featuring on the new Speedy J album? If your answer is yes, then you might be in luck as the legendary techno producer is asking people to send him their material for possible use on a project that he's entitled Soundcloud. (Presumably a reference to the new site that allows producers to more easily share their music with one another that bears the same name.) Speedy (real name Jochem Paap) has had recent collaborations with Adam Beyer, Chris Liebling and George Issakidis, but it could be you that features alongside him on the new record, due to be released on his own label, Electric Deluxe.
Surprisingly enough, in this era of on-spec remixes done for nothing, Jochem has said that he wants to split all of the profits 50/50 with the artists that are involved. No guidelines have been given as far as what material he's looking for, so even the most basic of sounds and loops should be eligible. Willing participants can register at www.speedyj.com during the month of November, and submit their contribution via the website.
