Operated by Tom Huggett & Vichara Edirisinghe, Astral People was established to stimulate a niche music scene within Australia, one that fosters innovative and experimental electronic artists. The company was initially founded by Lee Danilewitz alongside Tom and Vichara.
Over the last 7 years, Astral People has become one of Australia’s leading music management and touring companies.
Today, our management roster is comprised of 12 incredibly talented Australian musicians, whose careers we have nurtured and developed from the very beginning. Wave Racer, Roland Tings, Cosmo’s Midnight, Winston Surfshirt, Basenji, GL, Polographia, Collarbones, Dro Carey, and many more make up our family of local artists.
Astral’s touring division initially began as another avenue into the industry that would provide the means to support our growing local roster.
Now, having brought over 100 international artists to Australian shores, including Stormzy, Sampha, Snakehips, Dizzee Rascal, Big Boi, Dave, Freddie Gibbs, Pantha Du Prince, Yung Lean, Shigeto, Shura, Kornel Kovacs, Omar S, Lady Leshurr, Little Simz, Ibeyi, NAO, Giraffage, Masego, Palms Trax, DJ EZ and XXYYXX, Astral People has established itself as one of the most respected touring groups in the game.
Our endeavours within the Sydney party scene have culminated in the much-loved Summer Dance Series & OutsideIn Festival, as well as curating showcases & stages at Vivid Live, Strawberry Fields and Subsonic Music Festival.
These events have become renowned for their boutique approach, providing punters with a unique experience to see an eclectic line-up of international and local talents. Merging our touring division since 2015 with Handsome Tours, and our local artists flourishing at home and abroad, Astral People continues to evolve into 2018.
The final Summer Dance afterparty is a biggie, hosting music from acclaimed international DJs CARISTA, Batu and DjRUM. No genre's off limits at this one.
