  • Strøm’s vision is through activities, sparring and networks to support, strengthen and unite the Danish electronic music scene. With a focus on quality, Strøm means to spread awareness of electronic music as well as positioning Copenhagen regionally, nationally and internationally as home to a significant and leading electronic music culture, through training (such as workshops, master classes and artist talks) as well as events like concerts and raves in locations both well known and new to electronic music culture. The yearly Strøm Festival was established in 2007 to celebrate all aspects and genres of electronic music. Running for seven days, and featuring 46 events held at 32 venues with a total of 109 performing artists in 2015, Strøm Festival is a full week of events centered around electronic music. Strøm is more than just a party. The musical profile is focused on quality above quantity, and the festival draws an audience of both young and old, families with children, hardcore ravers and nerdy crate diggers, because Strøm is a festival that can and will do more than simply present a band on stage. Strøm uses the city as it's stage, presenting acts in their most suited surroundings, no matter if this is a block party on the streets, a subterranean water reservoir, a running metro train or the best venues in Copenhagen. Strøm presents the newest and most iconic electronic music of both local and international origin. Strøm is a festival with great international appeal and attention, and is also an extraordinary snap-shot of the trends and tendencies that currently define the electronic music culture in Denmark and abroad.
