  • Liverpool-based promoters Freeze bring something very different to the clubbing scene, making a name for its unpredictable format and boundaries pushing parties. Freeze identifies original and creative venues, having been the first promoters to put on an electronic music event in a practicing cathedral and organise raves in everything from a bombed out church, to English heritage site Williamson tunnels and St George’s Hall, 2013 will see them take over even more unusual spots! From their beginnings 7 years ago in the tiny Lemon Lounge that had seen the births of some of Liverpool’s other biggest club nights including, Alderaan, Chibuku and Circus, Freeze have set themselves apart marrying the most unique locations with world class DJs. They have attempted and succeeded in throwing some hugely individual events and outstanding parties with the likes of Friendly Fires, Greg Wilson, John Digweed, Michael Mayer, Hernan Cattaneo Danny Howells and Leftfield. These one-off shindigs continue to set up camp at some of the most historically significant locations in Liverpool and now we could see them taking this exciting concept to other cities later in the year. Their slick organisation, thoughtful programming and total care for the people and the party makes them truly refreshing promoters. Fun, music and good vibes are paramount to the success that has taken a hobby and made it into one of the most stand-out events in Liverpool, putting DJs in glass houses and disco next to techno. Working hand in hand with top brands and forward thinking labels, Freeze ramp up production and tailor to artists needs to ensure they promote the likes of Innervisions, Zoo Project, Bedrock and soon Cadenza, Kompakt, Border Community and more to the maximum potential, at the same time as providing a seamless service. While the unique shows aim to showcase some of the best artists and quality music, the real reason behind many of the events is to raise awareness of the different charities and organizations they are affiliated with. This association with charities such as, the Claire House Children’s Hospice, Macmillan and Breast cancer awareness means they are able to raise money and spread the word about the amazing work taking place by so many remarkable people. Freeze has such a huge and diverse roster of experience, yet their aim remains the same. They create something undeniably special and their ethos still echoes a humble statement of where it all began. 2013 looks to be another mammoth year for the well-loved Liverpudlian promoters, as they step it up a notch to deliver yet more unbelievable talent and parties in a series of beautifully crazy and off-the-wall locations!
