- Bites, barks and sub-bass.
- Loefah released a new tune last week with a photo of a nasty-looking dog bite he suffered in 2020. "Dogbite" is trademark soundsystem pressure from the Swamp 81 boss: sleek and minimal, driven by oversized sub-bass. At 123 BPM, it runs slower than much of his music, but there's no mistaking this for house or techno. Halfway through, the beats fall out and a dog—presumably Loefah's Staffordshire bull terrier, Vinton—barks. The noise signals the second phase, when the rhythms return double-time and a pad melody plays out in the background.
