  • Luca Medici and Delbert Perez put out a lot of music. The pace at which these best friends make their tracks that fuse Latin percussion with garage and dubstep, among other club genres, is remarkable—they made this new album in a week after ants ruined their hard drive. This kind of ferocious output allows them to constantly fine-tune their hybrid style. "CARRIZALILLO," named after a beach in Mexico's surf town of Puerto Escondido, incorporates the syncopated rhythms of dembow and kuduro with hints of dub techno. Punchy vocals and ghostly synths create additional layers of movement while tying these globe-spanning sounds together.
