- More than 80 years ago, the military airbase Twenthe was built by local people. It survived the Second World War, but only after being conquered by the Germans and bombed by the Allies. While the Dutch air force no longer occupies the terrain, the radar is still operational and in use by Schiphol’s air traffic control.

Some of the biggest names in house and techno—the likes of Peggy Gou, KI/KI and Sally C—will take over the abandoned military airbase.85
