The excellent interior, one single room with the long, shapely bar and the glass blocks in the walls, gives off a distinct industrial vibe, accentuated by the chainlink fences on the ceiling and in front of the DJ booth and the rave lighting. Instead of the multiple small rooms familiar from small- and medium-sized clubs in Brooklyn, dancers are greeted with an open expanse of space and freedom to move. Located just on Irving just off of Flushing at the nexus of much of the local nightlife, we can’t imagine it won’t be an immediate success, and it provides a new home for the LGBTQ crowd missing since the Spectrum closed.
