In 2013 Cable was forced to close following two years of ongoing legal battles with Network Rail.

Opened in 2009, Cable is two-room, medium-to-large sized club located near to London Bridge amid the area's Victorian viaducts and archways. As such, the venue has a raw, industrial feel throughout. Across the larger main room and smaller bar/dance floor area, the sounds offered on a weekly basis range from house, techno and electro, through to grime, drum & bass and dubstep. The venue has served as the long-running host to Sunday afterparty Jaded and London promoters We Fear Silence. A Cable sister venue, Relay, located in what was known previously as the club's third room, opened its doors at the beginning of 2012.
