Acerca de

  • Råhuset is a small, atmospheric venue with a big heart. It is located in the center of Copenhagen, only 5 min. from the Central Station. The raw house is located in the old veterinary inspection, which is part of the Brown Meat Village; hence the name also originated. The Brown Meat Village was built by the City of Copenhagen in 1879. Here, the Copenhagen butchery industry was brought together. In an efficient machinery, cattle via the slaughterhouse became steaks in the refrigerator counter, under public control. From 2006, Råhuset has served as a venue where we hold more than 150 concerts a year. We have over the years designed a well-functioning venue for the underground bands, where the emphasis is on preserving the "raw", unpolished and interim expressions, as it is part of the charm of the Råhuset. Råhuset's music profile is wide ranging, and we haven't settled on a particular genre, so everything is welcome. For concerts, there is ample opportunity to experience everything from rock, jazz, world music, electronic, punk, hip hop and classical. The purpose of the City Hall is to give way to the narrow and crooked genres and would like to contribute to being a focal point and developer of the music culture as well as investing in the underground and growth layer culture in Copenhagen. We work with a number of external organizers, including Wonderwhy Music Company, Echo from Cuba, Villa Råspåt, SPOT Festival, The White Cut, Cph Listening Room, The Bowery Room and many others. Although Råhuset is primarily concerned with music and concerts, we still occasionally welcome other creative events, such as exhibitions, performance, comedy, music quiz, etc.
