Sweet Revenge has changed its name to ONE LAST SHAG, here's why!
In 2008 we and another Sweet Revenge in Manhattan opened our doors at the same time. The Sweet Revenge in Manhattan is a cupcake and wine bar, and the owner trademarked the name (we did not).
Her trademark became official in October of 2010 and she was required to 'defend' the name. We understand and are not bitter. She has been great to us during this whole process. Originally it felt like we were having to re-name our child, but then we started looking at it as a graduation.... I mean really, ONE LAST SHAG!! Who doesn't think that's the most perfect name ever for this bar? In fact, we are O B S E S S E D now with it.
That's the scoop! So hats off to everyone who has helped define what this bar is and stuck by us through so much. We love our incredible staff, family, and friends.
