BAMcafé Live features a diverse mix of free live music and performance in BAM's Lepercq Space, a lounge and bar space in the Peter Jay Sharp Building. Since 1999 BAMcafé Live has served as a launch pad for a whole galaxy of new stars, such as Stew, Antibalas, Slow Six, Carl Hancock Rux, Morley, Eisa Davis, Travis Sullivan’s Bjorkestra, ETHEL, Haale, Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), Sekou Sundiata, Earl Greyhound, Licorice, and many others. BAMcafé Live has also been an intimate performance home for international renowned performers like Marshall Crenshaw, Vernon Reid, Grady Tate, Fishbone’s Angelo Moore aka Dr. Madd Vibe, Gary Lucas, Don Byron, Marc Ribot, Corey Glover, Joe Bataan, Jeffrey Gaines, TV On The Radio’s Kyp Malone, and more.
