PS Art Space PS Art Space (PSAS) opened in 1994 in a large converted warehouse in Fremantle's West End precinct, offering subsidised artists studios. Initially called Allegretta Studios, then changing its name to Paris Schairer Art Studios & Gallery, and recently relaunched from an address (Pakenham Street Art Space) to an entity: PS Art Space (PSAS) in 2012. As Fremantle's leading centre for artist studio spaces, the organisation has continued to build on its innovative foundations, growing to facilitate the expanding field of contemporary art through a wide variety of exhibition, studio, curatorial and cross-disciplinary programs, including performance.
