A former factory complex in an industrial area of northwest Amsterdam, Westergasfabriek is a 14-acre "culture park" built around a structure dating back to 1885, renting spaces to vendors and artists. The park consists of ponds and field areas, and contains restaurants, coffee shops, art installations, shops, and the Westerunie nightclub where many events including techno and house parties take place.
